With prayerful consideration and after 5 award winning years with Southern Gospel super group, the Gaither Vocal Band, lead vocalist Michaelhas decided to step away from the group to pursue other opportunities.

English says, "It was difficult to juggle two careers and I needed more time at home... off the road."

This move will give Michael more time to dedicate to his solo tour, sharing his testimony, and recording and producing with other artists as well.

"The last 5 years with the GVB have been very enjoyable for me and I will miss the guys. This was a very difficult decision but one I feel at peace with. It will be a new day for Michael but one I am very excited about. Hope to see many of you at solo shows in the future!"

Congratulations to Michael who won two of 2013 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards:  Fan Favorite Artist Of The Year, and Producer (Artist).

Michael releases a new CD - updated with retail release date

Michael's excited about the release of his new CD entitled "Some People Change". The CD is currently only available online and at concerts.  The CD will be available in stores and online outlets on March 26, 2013. 

Steve Ladd is excited to get back into the studio after 2 years but needs our help in funding the project.  Many of you have asked for new music, and as you can imagine, recording is a very expensive process. 2011 SGN Scoops Digital Diamond Awards

Congratulations to the Gaither Vocal Band for winning QUARTET OF THE YEAR and SONG OF THE YEAR: "Please Forgive Me" (written by Gerald Crabb and featuring Michael) at the 2011 SGN Scoops Digital Diamond Awards.
Fans choose the nominees as well as the winners for The Diamond Awards each year. The awards presentation is held during the Branson Gospel Music Convention every summer.

Michael to be inducted into NC Music Hall of Fame

Michaelborn in Wallace, NC will be inducted in to The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place October 13th in Kannapolis, NC at the David H. Murdock Core Laboratory Building in Kannapolis, NC.. The evening will include a reception, dinner and induction ceremony with a variety of entertainment. Tickets go on sale September 1st at the museum and online.
